CUBA, October 24, 2016.- Last Friday, university students and teachers gathered together at the José Antonio Echeverría Higher Polytechnic Institute of Havana (CUJAE) to continue saying Not to the Blockade, as happened last October 17 at the University of Havana.

The event counted on the attendance of the presidents of the University Students Federation (FEU) of all provinces and representatives of students of the Raúl Roa García Higher Institute of International Relations of Cuba, who denounced the unjust economic, commercial and financial policy of the United States against Cuba.
«The university students, as always, are giving a step forward, extending our support to the country and giving our vote against the blockade and all that implies a backward moment, » said the president of the FEU at Cienfuegos University Mariam Figueredo Rodríguez,
The President of the FEU at the University of Ciego de Ávila, Roberto Cruz, and those who were present there, consider this denounce as a duty, because for more than 50 years this genocidal action by the US government has affected all the people of Cuba, and his generation was born under the effects of the blockade.
And the President of the FEU at the University of the East Daniel Reina said: «We are here to also oppose the entire interventionist contents of the last plan of measures applied by the U.S Government through its Presidential Directive. »
The evening also included a talk with Journalist Oliver Zamora Oria, who exchanged with the students. The analysis of the current measures implemented by the US Government against Cuba highlighted among the topics discussed.
