Havana. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez condemned Monday the United States Administration´s obsession to destroy the Revolution.

“New millions for old infamies, for the perverse obsession to destroy the Revolution," wrote Díaz-Canel on Twitter, while commenting on the White House's decision to allocate up to three million dollars for covert actions to denounce presumed labor and sexual exploitation in Cuba.

Cuban ambassador Eduardo Martínez qualifies Blockade against Cuba as policy of harassment

NICARAGUA, March 17, 2014.- Cuban ambassador to Nicaragua, Eduardo Martínez, qualified the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba as a policy of harassment, and explained it eliminated all ties with Cuba and prohibits US citizens to travel to Cuba. During his participation at the creation of the Committe of Solidarity with Cuba in Nicaragua, the Cuban Ambassador also highlighted this harassment is applied also to Venezuela.

Blockade against Cuba damages scientists work in Florida

CUBA, March 17, 2014.- Scientists from universities in Florida asserted last week that United States blockade against Cuba damages the sea investigations because it prohibits the trips to Cuba in order to contacts with their counterparts and strengthen the academic ties.

"Unfortunatelly, it's more difficult for us to work in Cuba than the rest of researchers from other states", expresed Donald Behringer, Assistant Professor at the School of Forest Resources and Assistant Professor at Conservation & Emerging Pathogens Institute at the University of Florida.

Yemen confirms its support for Cuba in the struggle against the blockade

YEMEN, March 4, 2014.-  Ambassador of Cuba in Yemen, David Paulovich was received by Ambassador Mrs. Noria A. US Federal laws prohibits Coursera online platform from users in Cuba

CUBA, March 4, 2014.- Coursera, a popular online learning platform founded by two Stanford computer science professors, recently blocked access to users in Cuba in order to comply with federal export regulations prohibiting massive open online course (MOOC) providers from operating in sanctioned countries, informed the Standford Daily online edition.

Coursera provides free online courses including Humanities, Medicine, Biology, Social Sciences, and others, in partnership with top universities and organizations worldwide
