Havana. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez condemned Monday the United States Administration´s obsession to destroy the Revolution.

“New millions for old infamies, for the perverse obsession to destroy the Revolution," wrote Díaz-Canel on Twitter, while commenting on the White House's decision to allocate up to three million dollars for covert actions to denounce presumed labor and sexual exploitation in Cuba.

US Cuba Policy Clumsy, Unfocused, Says Ecuadorian Scholar

ECUADOR, August 20th, 2014.- Ecuadorian intellectual Juan Paz y Miño said today that U.S. policy towards Cuba is increasingly clumsy, backward, and unfocused, as evidenced in the program to promote subversion by infiltrating young Latin Americans from outside Cuba into the country.
"The U.S. government and its military-industrial apparatus fail to understand that the world has changed and its actions against Cuba are clumsy, backward, and unfocused. So they push a program like that to try to promote subversion using foreign youth," Paz y Miño told Prensa Latina.

Another French Bank could be punished for violating US Blockade against Cuba

CUBA, August 5, 2014. After imposing a record fine on the Paris' Bank BNP Paribas, US authorities are now pursuing to punish another French bank for an alleged violation of US sanctions on diverse countries, including Cuba.

An internal audit concluded at the Credit Agricole bank some weeks ago and the results were sent to the US Department of Justice and to the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Department of State, said bank general director Jean-Paul Chifflet.

Hillary Clinton Reiterates Desire to Advance Relations with Cuba

CUBA, July 31, 2014.  Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who reportedly is the favorite to be the Democrats candidate for the 2016 presidential elections, reiterated her wish to advance relations with Cuba, according to excerpts of an interview cited by PL news agency.

Clinton defended the idea that the US blockade of Cuba has been a failure, as she expressed in her book Hard Choices, published earlier this year.

New actions in the implementation of the economic, commercial and financial embargo blockade on Cuba

CUBA,  July 28, 2014. Days ago the media reported that Red Bull North America, the energy drink company, turned into the latest victim of the economic, commercial and financial blockade the government of the United States continues to impose against Cuba despite the almost unanimous rejection of the international community.

According to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the entity agreed to pay an $ 89 755.00-dollar fine for shooting a documentary in the Caribbean Island without authorization from the U.S. Treasury Department.
