“The behavior that Cuba has accustomed us to when responding to situations of grave need is an example of the acceptance of a collective responsibility that offers the best hope for an adequate reaction also to the problems of sustainability and even climate change. 

The tightening of the blockade is only one of the US hostile actions against Cuba, as Washington recently increased aggressions against the country, denounced this Thursday a top official of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Fifty-six years ago, then U.S. President Lyndon Johnson prohibited countries from around the world to sell medicines or food to Cuba, a policy that has been maintained and was hardened by the Trump administration.

United States Former Governor Criticizes Blockade against Cuba

WASHINGTON, February 10, 2014.- Former governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, amid a campaing to lead this state again, qualified the United States blockade against Cuba as a "ineffective relic" and made an appeal to end this policy. The Democrat expressed in a press release that this coersive measure did not achieve anything during its 50 years of existence and it is time to lift it.

US Citizens Favor Normalization of Relations with Cuba

UNITED STATES,  February 11, 2014.- The majority of US citizens supports a change of policy regarding Cuba, after 50 years of blockade, according to a survey published today. The report written by the bipartisan Atlantic Council, expresses 56% of US citizens favor  a "change" of US policy towards Cuba.

Even more surprisingly is the position of Florida which was the state with the highest number of people aiming at better relations with Cuba.

OCI supports the Cuban resolution against the U.S. blockade

ARABIA SAUDITA, October 30, 2013- The representative to the United Nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), called anachronistic, unjustified and unfair the economic, financial and commercial U.S. blockade against Cuba. Djibouti's Ambassador to the UN, H.E. Mr. Roble Olhaye, on behalf of Islamic countries, stressed that this unilateral measure limited the efforts and the development aspirations of the Cuban people.
