Cubans living in Ghana in their 6th National Meeting reiterate their rejection of the blockade

GHANA, 28th October, 2017.- Cubans living in Ghana held their 6th National Meeting at the T-Havana Parks, which has become an emblematic place for the Cuban presence in this country.

The nearly 50 participants expressed their support for the sovereign decision of the Cuban people to build their own political system, and explicitly condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US against Cuba for more than five decades.

Parliament of Jamaica adopts motion against the Blockade

JAMAICA, November 1, 2017.- Hours before the historic voting at United Nations General Assembly against the United States blockade, the Parliament of Jamaica unanimously adopted a motion condemning the outdated policy that has a tremendous impact on the people of Cuba.

The Ambassador of Cuba exposes negative effects of blockade on Pan African Television Channel

GHANA, 27th October, 2017.- The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González was interviewed for the Pan African Television Channel´s Hot News Program. In the interview, led by the journalist Eugene Edem Buzady, the Ambassador addressed a wide range of issues that had as an articulating axis the negative effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US for more than five decades to the Cuban population. In his analysis he demonstrated that the blockade is a tool used to destroy the Cuban Revolution.

U.S. blockade overwhelmingly rejected at United Nations

THE UNITED NATIONS, september 27, 2017.- Although the world is currently facing many challenges - climate change, earthquakes, hurricanes, pandemics, and the threat of nuclear war - rejection of the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba was heard loud and clear in the high level segment of the UN General Assembly, which concluded September 25.

Demands in Washington D.C. to lift the blockade against Cuba

CUBA, September 18, 2017.- With the presence of Cuban Ambassador José Ramón Cabañas Rodríguez, the main event of the Days of Action against the Blockade organized by the International Committee for Peace, Justice and Dignity of the Peoples along with other organizations of solidarity with Cuba in the United States, took place on September 14, in the Baptist Church El Calvario, in Washington D.C., aimed at demanding the lifting of the unjust policy imposed on Cuba for over 55 years.
