UN High Representative highlights damage to Cuba by US measures

President of the UN General Assembly, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, said Thursday that the increase in unilateral measures and U.S. sanctions against Cuba are causing greater damage to the Cuban people. Espinosa referred to how Washington's activation of the Helms-Burton Act negatively impacts the Cuban economy and access to goods and services.

Cuba, Iran, Venezuela strongly reject unilateral coercive measures

Cuba, Iran and Venezuela has condemned the illegal unilateral coercive measures, for which reason they should be dismissed as an option by the international community. Ecuadoreans from Manabi demand an end of US blockade on Cuba

From Manabi, the Provincial Coordinator of the Movement of Friendship and Solidarity with Cuba, demanded that the United States put an end to the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on Cuba for decades. The ruling Palestinian National Liberation Movement Al-Fatah condemned the blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States. British Representative regrets United States´ position on Cuba

Lord David Triesman, Co-President of the British group Cuba Initiative, considered in Havana that measures that tighten the US blockade against Cuba are deeply offensive. Dr. Chandra Muzaffar, president of the non-governmental organization JUST, spoke against the Helms-Burton Act.In his article, he emphasizes that it would be a mistake to see Title III alone or as nothing more than a part of the Helms-Burton Act and should be evaluated in the context of sanctions against Cuba applied since 1961.
