The persistence of the blockade against Cuba is highlighted in Zimbabwe

ZIMBAWE, October 21st,  2016.- The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Elio Savón Oliva, recalled the need to continue fighting for the lifting of the blockade against Cuba, which still remains despite the recently issued Obama´s Presidential Policy Directive and clarified that the latest measures announced by the US government have a very limited scope.

This was expressed at the launch, last Saturday, of a new chapter of the Zimbabwe - Cuba Friendship Association (ZICUFA) in the city of Bindura, Mashonaland Central province.

The event, chaired by Fananidzo Pesanai, President of ZICUFA, was  attended by  a large group of friends of Cuba, including several linked to Bindura University for Science Education (BUSE), which was created as a result of the Cuban cooperation in that field.

Other Cuban embassy officials and Cuban lecturers at the University were also present.
