Pakistani-Cuban Doctors Association (PCDA) request the end of the blockade

We the members of Pakistani-Cuban Doctor Association (PCDA) graduated from prestigious Cuban institute Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) call for the end of the unjust embargo imposed on Cuba since 50 years. This persistent embargo goes against the basic human rights. The 193-member General Assembly passed a resolution against this embargo in 2017 with 191 votes in favor. Israel, as it has done in the past, voted in line with its top ally, U.S. The non-binding resolution has urged the United States to repeal the embargo on Cuba as soon as possible. Only the U.S. Congress can lift the full embargo, put in place more than 50 years ago.
We demand that the U.S. should end the hostile blockade against Cuba, which has been a major hindrance in the progress of this beautiful island. After spending several years in Cuba, we know that Cuba is a friendly country and Cubans are peace loving people. These sanctions are causing great damage to our Cuban brothers since the last 5 decades. We want to reiterate our solidarity with this friendly nation, a nation which has stood by us and with every country in need in thick and thin. We condemn these sanctions and we ask for an immediate end to this embargo. Viva Cuba. Long Live the Friendship between Cuba and Pakistan. PCDA.
