Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda makes call for ending of US embargo against Cuba

COSTA RICA, January 29, 2015. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda called on CELAC members to urge the US Congress to rescind the trade embargo against Cuba, and to normalize all relations in the interest of the stability and well-being of the Hemisphere.

Vietnam Friendship Association for Ending Blockade on Cuba

VIETNAM,  January 22, 2015.  Focused on the complete lifting of the unjust U.S. blockade on the Caribbean island, the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association celebrated here its annual meeting of solidarity.

After opening the meeting, permanent vice president, Nguyen Duy Cong, congratulated the Cuban people for the return to the homeland of the last three Cuban Five who were held in U.S. prisons.

US Companies to urge the Congress to end blockade against Cuba

In Washington DC, a kickoff event was held for the U.S. Agricultural Coalition for Cuba (USACC), a new group that wants to normalize trade relations with the island state which is comprised of more than 30 American agricultural trade organizations and companies. The coalition wants to open Cuba up further as a market for U.S. agriculture exports. Its ultimate goal is to see relations between both countries fully normalized and put an end to the more than five decades old embargo, according to information provided by Cargill.com.
