Low Morale Prevails at U.S. Anti-Cuba Broadcasting Office

CUBA, July 9, 2014. Low morale plagues the office of the Cuba Broadcasting Office, the U.S. government organization that leads the anti-Cuba and so-called Radio and TV Marti, according to a new survey cited by the Miami Herald newspaper.

An article by journalist Michael Doyle McClatchy, published in the Herald on Monday, reads that “in a partially redacted report dated July 7th, based on employee interviews conducted last year, the State Department’s Office of The Inspector General cited morale as among the pressing challenges facing the Cuban broadcasting operations.”

Cuban legislator Mariela Castro condemns Blockade at Italian Parliament

ITALY, April 7, 2014. Cuban legislator Mariela Castro, head of the Center for Sexual Education of Cuba (Cenesex),  held a meeting with members of the Human Rights Group at the Commission of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Parliament, in Montecitorio, Rome.

Mariela was welcome by Vice President of the group which is compossed by fourteen legislators, Emanuele Scagliusi.

United States Government Secretly Funded Social Network in Cuba

CUBA,  April 3, 2014. The United States government spent $1.6 million building a social media network with the aim of undermining the government in Cuba, according to information provided by Associated Press.

Documents obtained during an investigation by this press agency show that the project, which lasted more than two years was built with secret shell companies and was financed through foreign banks.

Cuban ambassador Eduardo Martínez qualifies Blockade against Cuba as policy of harassment

NICARAGUA, March 17, 2014.- Cuban ambassador to Nicaragua, Eduardo Martínez, qualified the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba as a policy of harassment, and explained it eliminated all ties with Cuba and prohibits US citizens to travel to Cuba. During his participation at the creation of the Committe of Solidarity with Cuba in Nicaragua, the Cuban Ambassador also highlighted this harassment is applied also to Venezuela.

OCI supports the Cuban resolution against the U.S. blockade

ARABIA SAUDITA, October 30, 2013- The representative to the United Nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), called anachronistic, unjustified and unfair the economic, financial and commercial U.S. blockade against Cuba. Djibouti's Ambassador to the UN, H.E. Mr. Roble Olhaye, on behalf of Islamic countries, stressed that this unilateral measure limited the efforts and the development aspirations of the Cuban people.
