CUBA, October 18, 2016. –The Cuban youth and the Cuban civil society expressed their rejection of the US blockade against Cuba in a huge "swarm," that took place during the meeting held at the University of Havana, where the "rumor of the hive," as once the Cuban Chancellor of Dignity Raul Roa said, was also felt.

In the meeting, the Vice Chancellor of the Higher Institute of Foreign Relations Gerardo Hernández described the US blockade against Cuba as an immoral and illegal act and he reaffirmed that the uprising must be complete.
Gerardo Hernández, the antiterrorist fighter who suffered 16 years in prison in the United States, called to continue raising the flags of the Cuban nation against such policy.
Gerardo, also Hero of the Republic of Cuba, highlighted the participation of the Cuban youth in this fight, and especially, in the event carried out at all universities in Cuba.
The rejection of the restrictions imposed on Cuba for nearly 60 years, which have been considered obsolete by the US government itself, is the central theme of the different ways in which participants are manifested in the so called Avispero (Swarm) against the blockade.
Music, literature and painting are the ways in which the voices are raised against the blockade, they painted, in a collective mural, several of the most recent Cuban examples and reflected the Caribbean nation surrounded by a large wall and how Cuba faces it with the solidarity of the world.
Participants also left their feelings on social networks from the point of view that today’s Cuban young people have been born and lived under the impact of financial, economic and commercial blockade of the United States.
Those who were around the place left their marks in a giant paper, and thus they gave expression to their feelings, and how they are affected by the rules that make up that system of laws.
The children of the Colmenita (Little Beehive) also participated in the activity, as well as different troubadour singers and amateur artists from the Federation of University Students (FEU).
