Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia denounces the damages of the blockade to the culture

MALAYSIA, October 20, 2017.- In a radio interview on the occasion of the Day of Cuban Culture, Cuba's ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández denounced the effects of the blockade on the culture sector.
She explained about the inability of artists to receive money for their performances and at the same time as many, how many of them receive denials of travel to the United States in order to spread the cultural values of the island. Ambassador cited as an example the opportunities in which winners of important awards have not been able to attend the awards ceremonies.
The Cuban ambassador took the opportunity to thank the Malaysian government for the consistent support of the Cuban resolution against the blockade, while requesting to maintain it on November 1 at the United Nations, when it will be voted once again.
