Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa Condemns criminal blockade against Cuba

ECUADOR, May 28, 2014.  Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa Delgado condemned the United States blockade against Cuba during a Report to the Nation last May 24th, in ocassion of the 192nd anniversary of the battle of Pichincha that marked the independence from colonialism.

The President stated that "it is inconceivable that the Inter American Commission on Human Rights has its headquarters in the nation that maintains a criminal blockade against Cuba".

Ecuador has kept a strong position of solidarity with Cuba in the struggle against a policy that is morally defeated but constitutes the main obstacle to the full development of the Cuban nations.
