Guyanese media published press conference condemning US Blockade imposed to Cuba.

Guyana, October 24, 2013. Several mass media, print and television, reported press conference hosted by the Cuban ambassador to Georgetown, Julio Cesar Gonzalez Marchante on the submission by Cuba in the 68 session of the United Nations General Assembly of a new draft resolution that calls the necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States of America against Cuba.
The conference highlighted the serious consequences of this genocidal policy applied for more than five decades against the Cuban people and clear examples of its extraterritorial nature. Also, its reinforcement during the current U.S. administration despite universal international condemnation received 21 consecutive times prior to the United Nations Organization. At the time, the diplomatic thanked the authorities and people of Guyana for their unalterable support to end this criminal policy.
The president of Guyana-Cuba Friendship Association, Mr. Samuel Abdool, expressed the support of this entity for ending the blockade. (Cubaminrex/Embacuba Guyana)
